And we just keep growing...

Yes! Our first baby picture! We had our sono today to confirm dates. We were able to hear and see the heartbeat so that was really great. The due date is December 21st! There are several family b-days in Dec, so who knows, maybe we will have two kids who share a birthday with a great-grandparent! I will do my best to keep the blog updated with doctor visits and "bump" pictures. We plan to find out the sex, so of course we will let you know that when the time comes. Right now, we would be blessed to have any prayers you could throw our way! Jakson is excited, but I don't think he completely gets it yet. He knows there is a baby growing in Mommy's tummy, but he also thinks there is one growing in his! So far he wants to name the baby Austin or Cisco for a boy and Chick Hicks or Jak-Jak for a girl!! Ha Ha!!!

HKS Picnic

Jakson on the pony ride--he loved it!

Jakson and Daddy after the ride was done

Jakson and his buddy Blake (they hang out at all the HKS events, only 6mo apart in age)

Very proud of his ballon sword--the tears were heart-breaking when the sword popped! Of course we (meaning MOM) had to get back in line for another balloon creation! :-)

Here is a video of Jakson during the pony ride--he did this all on his own by the way! He decided that the pony was no different than a car so he started shifting his "gears"! It was so cute!

The BIG MOMENT!!!!

This year was Rory's 30th Birthday and I managed to pull-off a great surprise party with lots of family and friends! It was so great when I saw the look on his face and knew that he really never had a clue! We had family come into town from as far away as Iowa and some old friends there that he hadn't seen in a long time. I couldn't have done it without the support of my family and great friends who helped it all go off without a hitch! Also, something that God totally had planned was that the morning of the party, I found out I was pregnant!! I told Rory that we would tell my family that night at dinner (where we were "celebrating" his b-day since they were in town) and we would tell his family the next weekend when we went home for his b-day. Of course, the whole time I know that we are going to be able to tell EVERYONE at once at the party that night!! Unfortunately we were both so excited to share our news, neither of us thought to give the video camera to someone! :-( I missed most of the reactions because I started crying (of course) but I am told that my dad hit my mom and accused her of not telling him (thinking she must already know which she didn't) and both my sister and mom-in-law burst into tears! Anyways, it was so great to be able to share that news with all of our friends and family that were there! This is a video I worked on for HOURS and HOURS trying to get it just right! My little knowledge of computers didn't help, but I think in the end it turned out great. We had the video playing on TV screens throughout the party. This is a version of it ( I had to take out some of the pictures so that it wouldn't be too big to post, but not many). I hope you enjoy it! Also, make sure the volume is up on your speakers, there is music in the background!

Easter Fun

Rory's parents came to stay with us Easter Weekend and we went to the Ft. Worth zoo. We all had a great time!

Jakson in front of his favorite animal there--the alligators!!

Jakson at the HKS Easter Egg Hunt the weekend before. He had a great time!

Decorating Easter Eggs with Nana!

After the Easter Egg hunt in our backyard! What a loot! Of course, there wasn't any competition so... This year he really understood the concept and had fun running around looking for the eggs.

Jakson's Newest Adventure--Gymnastics!!

He now does this all on his own on the high bars!! Yikes! Mom has to sit in the stands and just watch now! I will try to get some new pics and update his progress!

Here is Jakson at gymnastics with Coach Mark. This was the first class he started in, which was Mom and Tot. He has since moved up to a "big boy" all boys class and his new coach is Coach Steve. Jakson still loves Coach Mark and is happy that he still does the group warm-up for all the kids! He has really taken to it and just loves it! No fear!
