OMG--My husband is crazy--or maybe I am!!!

Well, my husband really lived up to the Father's Day card that Jakson gave him!! It was a Superman card that played the theme from Superman when you opened it up and said, "Have a high flyin' Father's Day!!" If you haven't guessed yet, yes, Rory went skydiving!!! I am not sure what either of us were thinking, but obviously everything turned out ok thank the Lord!! He was invited by one of our church friends to go and help surprise her hubby for Father's Day, and she didn't want him to do it alone (since she couldn't bring herself to do it!). It was kind of last minute, but they had a great time. He says that it is something he can check off his "list", but that he probably won't do it again! :-) Whew!!! Jakson and I were there to watch (and pray!) and Jakson thought it was pretty cool that Daddy was flying like Superman! He had his own "videographer" that jumped with him, so we have all these great action shots, plus a video of it all, from before, to just after he landed! I am posting some of the pictures, but I don't know if it will let me post the video. The company is supposed to be posting a shortened version of the video online, which we are expecting any day! You can check there for the video: www.skydivedallas.com/videos.htm and when they post the jumps from June 15th, you can just click on Rory's name and see his video.

Rory's jumpmaster (he jumped tandem) HANGING him out of the plane just before they jumped! As Rory called it, the "oh poop" point! :-)

Just after jumping, the jumpmaster flipped them over so Rory could watch the plane fly away! Gee, thanks.

Rory LOVED the freefall part of it (about 1 min long) and of course, he had to give the camera man a "Guns Up!"

The jumpmaster saluting "good-bye" just before he is going to pull the rip cord (notice where his hand is, by Rory's side).

Oh, and just when he was getting used to falling--up you go Rory! Hang on!

No thank you.

Prayers answered--the chute opens!! :-)

Just as they are getting ready to land--Rory already has his feet up like he was taught!

The view from above....again, no thanks!
